“I was going to go cross country and then kill myself.” – John

John: I left my home state on Friday. I decided that I don’t think that the trouble of life is worth going through anymore.

Lauren Daigle: There’s never been a moment you were forgotten. You are not hopeless.

John: I just don’t think it’s worth it.

Lauren Daigle: But you have been broken, your innocence stolen. I hear you whisper underneath your breath.

John: I decided I was going to go cross country and then kill myself.

Lauren Daigle: I hear your SOS.

John: I feel like this is the way it’s supposed to be.

Dawson McAllister: What is it in your life that would be so horrible that would make death more acceptable to you than life?

Lauren Daigle: I will send out an army, to find you in the middle of the darkest night, it’s true, I will rescue you

Dawson McAllister: I know you’ve been hurt, and I know you’re depressed. But surely, you’re not so hurt and so depressed that you are going to do that to your parents. Now, you called me for a reason. You didn’t just call me to brag about the fact that you’re going to kill yourself.
